Very clean, quiet, and friendly campground with great hosts. You're a 5-10 minute drive from the Grand Canyon's South Rim entrance, but you'll want to spend a day at camp with how active the wildlife gets in the early afternoon, after other campers have left for the day. Every site is slightly different with its own charm from the natural layout. After your first visit, you'll want to plan another stay in your favorite spot.

The Tusayan Campground is laid out effectively to provide bountiful space between campsites. Likewise, the facilities are well-maintained and clean. The camp hosts were especially friendly and helpful. Hence, the stay was quite enjoyable.

Great host! There weren’t many visitors while we were there so it was pretty private. Bathroom were clean with almost no odor. We had the perfect lot for viewing Elk everyday as they grazed the area.

Tusayan Montane is a great camping ground. We liked it so much this was our second visit. The only damper on our experience was we couldn’t have a campfire. We survived even though we had a bunch of rain on and off.

Very nice quiet campground. Very clean and hosts very friendly. Great place to stay close to the south entrance of the Grand Canyon.

We stayed at sites S11 and S12. It was a clean and quiet place. At dawn, the Milky Way looked amazing here. The water spigot is about a 5–10 minute walk from here.

Spaces were roomy and facilities were clean! Very quiet and nice camp ground, with some decent pull-thru spaces.

Tusayan Campground was an excellent experience. The campsites felt private, with plenty of space between neighbors and a peaceful setting. One thing I really appreciated was the good shade provided by the trees throughout the campground — it made a big difference during the warmer parts of the day.
The restrooms were also impressively clean and well-maintained. The only “downside” is that there’s no showers.

General
- COMMERCIAL TOUR GROUPS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT TEN-X CAMPGROUND Commercial operators MUST obtain a special use permit to operate on National Forest System lands, including Ten-X Campground. Due to high public demand, Kaibab National Forest will not be issuing any special use permits for Ten-X Camground until further notice. Therefore, no commercial tour groups are allowed at Ten-X Campground. All violators will be removed from the campground immediately and given a fine for violating the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Single campsites accommodate a maximum of 8 people and 1 vehicle. Double campsites accommodate a maximum of 14 people and 2 vehicles. Groups that arrive with more people than allowed will be asked to move and will be charged for an additional site. Additional vehicles may be accommodated depending on the site. Each additional vehicle is subject to a $5/night fee
- No utility hookups
- Generators are allowed at Ten-X Campground. Generators can only be operated from 6am to 9pm.
- Limit of 15 vehicles per group site
- Due to limited water supply, RVs are not allowed to fill up at the campground
- No dumping of waste or grey water inside the campground; there is a dump station and water fill inside Grand Canyon National Park
- No shower or laundry facilities; these services are available inside Grand Canyon National Park
- Pull-through sites can accommodate up to a 35-ft. RV
- No use of off-highway vehicles inside this facility
