We were both pleasantly surprised by how clean and well groomed our assigned camp site was upon arrival. Over the years, upon arrival, I’ve always had to do a walkthrough picking up bits and pieces of detritus left by previous occupants. As usual, I performed my typical ritual. And to our great surprise our entire camp site was completely liter free and had been rake groomed and manicured. It was immaculate. The restrooms (Pit type - Yuck) were clean, virtually odor free, well stocked and reasonably close to the individually assigned campsites. Also, keep in mind that there is no cell phone coverage, do your frontend homework and prepare and pack accordingly. Rock Crossing is pretty high in elevation so the weather changes quickly and can be a little dicey. Especially if you are a tent camper. This place is great and you will love it!
