We had a great stay at Rock Crossing Campground. The location is beautiful; tucked into the woods with a peaceful, natural setting. The bathrooms were very clean, and the campground was well-maintained throughout our stay.
Special thanks to Harry, the campground host. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the area and nearby trails, and clearly takes pride in keeping the campground in top shape.
The campsites vary in shade; some have morning shade, others afternoon, and only a few have both. We stayed at Site #26, which had a nice overlook of the forest valley. It was quiet, scenic, and a perfect spot to unwind or meditate.
The only downside was the dust. Some campsites (including #26) are very close to the campground road, so even at the posted 10 mph speed limit, cars would kick up a noticeable amount of dust. Unfortunately, not all drivers stuck to that limit, and the faster traffic created quite a bit of dust throughout the day.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and well-managed campground, and we’d definitely return.
