Very clean and beautiful. Camp host was amazing. Truly sad that the people running that site are volunteers as opposed to a few years ago, that was not the case.

Rock Crossing Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful views, making it a popular choice for families and groups. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and easy access to outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking at the nearby Blue Ridge Reservoir. While the remote location means limited cell service and potential for wildlife encounters, many guests plan to return for the peaceful setting and enjoyable amenities.

The sites are very clean and well maintained. There is a big bear proof box for storage which was great! There was also a nice level area to set up a tent, a large fire ring, and a picnic table. There are also several bathrooms throughout the campgrounds that are well-maintained and super clean!

I love this campground! The road in is improved since last summer but still has a few really bad spots. The road from the campground to the reservoir is a whole order of worse. If it becomes a fee based use area some serious investment is going to be needed!

Beautiful and quiet. Lots of areas to explore. Site and bathrooms were very clean. Be sure to hit up the kettle corn guy in Pine on the way up!

I love staying at Rock Crossing. The volunteers do a great job keeping the sites and restrooms in great shape. Our party of 3 stayed at 24a and 26a. Great shade, nice little path between sites and beautiful views from the edge. Highly recommend! Water levels were low but great for kayaking.
Only complaint I have is the people “hanging out” at the boat launch and congesting the area. There are signs saying it is for loading and unloading only 🤦🏻♀️

Loved this campground and would totally come back as it was very quiet and plenty of space between sites. Also, host and hostess made sure we had clean bathrooms everyday. Thank you!
