This was my second year camping at this campground. My family and I loved it because it’s right on the riverbed. I liked it because it’s only $5 a night. Last year all campsites were first come first serve which is fine. This year I had to book online the site (13) I wanted in advance which I did. When I arrived on a early Saturday morning there was a couple camped in my reserved site. I woke them up and let them know I reserved that spot. They told me someone stole there reserved spot and it was a free for all at this site with no site host to regulate. Eventually the people in my site packed up and left but it was ridiculous that we couldnt get a BLM ranger, Trooper or Ranger out there to regulate the campground. Its a really great campground and I can foresee some altercations arising amongst some unruly campers. All in all great spot. Now I know next year I can have a wood fire pit burning like everyone else and not worry about any BLM personnel showing up.

This would be a great family campground however after having been there over Easter weekend we found out that there is no camp host. People are squatting on various sites. One morning we woke up to a few fellow campers arguing over campsites. The group we camped with paid for 3 sites, however, we only used 2. The remaining site was occupied by somebody else the entire weekend. If you do decide to book these sites be sure to bring proof as you may encounter someone on your site.

We showed up to our spot. Great location by trees. set up camp but as time went on we realized that other people liked our spot to constantly driving by looking people walking next to our spot to get shade and swim. We have a dog so i had to hold her leash constantly. It seemed to be a free for all old western mentality. Guys would show up and park in Reserved spots and refuse to leave. A couple showed up that had planed their trip months in advance and asked if i would share my site because the guy next to us would not get out of their spot some jerk in a van. We found out this happen to other campers who paid to reserved as well. I said yes we had the room they were very nice people.

When we first arrived I was disappointed because there wasn’t direct water access from our waterfront site, however once we found the water access, we were very happy! Clean little beach area with lots of shade. Perfect for the little ones to play with Pugh getting overheated. We will definitely be back again and again!

This was a nice large site. We were a just a short dirt road away from the water which was nice because we had little kids and didn't have to worry about them wandering off and falling in. There were two play areas to the left and right of the campgrounds on the water which were close enough & fun.

It would have been nice to have a host there and toilet paper in the restroom

People were in our camp site we had reserved and they refused to leave. There was no camp host there to help. We drove 3 hours to get there and didn’t have a place to camp.
