The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with spacious sites, stunning views, and access to numerous hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the clean restrooms and well-maintained grounds, making it a great stop for travelers along I-15. However, there are some concerns regarding parking, water availability for RVs, and occasional noise from the freeway, along with issues related to the reservation system. Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for nature lovers.

Stayed one night while driving through on I15. Quite close to I15. Had some road noise, but not enough to detract from our visit or keep us up; however, we were in the upper loop, and lower loop is closer to I15. Arrived mid afternoon in Oct, and temps were in high 80's, but not uncomfortable in the shade, but there isn't much shade here. Took a pleasant short hike down to the river. Bathrooms were very clean. Would definitely use this campground again, as an overnight stop, but definitely only in cooler months.

Restrooms are clean. All the camp sites with shade covers are Recreation.gov sites. Which double your fee for a 1 night visit BECAUSE they charge $8.00 to make the reservation. Otherwise it's $8 a night. ($4 for accepted passes) in first come first serve sites. Be better staying at a rest stop if only one night. Lots of very close sites with shared picnic table. Could park a van but not an rv. Also lots of pull thru like spots (pull outs) fit class A's and 5th wheels. Nice campground no shade. Don't like needing to use Recreation.gov.

Beautiful location. Campsites are spread out for decent amount of privacy. Roads are excellent and easy pull in. Restrooms very clean. Only downside is that you can hear traffic in the gorge, but it is not intrusive

Great campground in a great area. very close to St George, Utah. Could use more flat areas for tents, many sites cannot accommodate tents (too sloped, or rocky), but we made it work.

We had a good time here and the view from our spot (#25) was really pretty. The site was pretty well kept and I would possibly consider camping here again, but I gave four stars because the highway was pretty loud from our site (we were in a tent), and the tent pad was really small so we had to find a spot near the pavilion and it was really, really rocky. Overall, it was a good place to stay, especially because literally everywhere else in southern Utah was booked.

Stayed for one Night on our way from las Vegas to Zion Nationalpark.
The campground ist very good maintained. The restrooms very clear.
The campground is also very quiet - might be because nearly Nobody was there in this night…?
Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area is also trailhead for many trails in this area.
