What Guests Are Saying
Rose Canyon Campground in the scenic "Red Rocks" of Southern Utah is a well-maintained and beautiful location, ideal for camping near Bryce Canyon NP. Campers praise the cleanliness, friendly staff, and great fishing opportunities, with many highlighting the spacious, private sites and enjoyable hiking trails. While some minor issues like road conditions and a few camp host interactions were noted, the overall experience is positive, making it a recommended spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities.

Site offered tremendous space for two medium sized tents by the table and an area just below for a large tent. The vault restrooms and water station in this loop are directly across from the site. The parking spot will fit two full sized trucks closely, but the parking spot runs opposite to flow of traffic. If you have an RV, suggest you have someone block any traffic to circle the loop in the opposite direction to properly back into the spot. Great views from this campsite, host is next door (wonderful folks, BTW) and very clean facilities. Cell reception is one bar sporadically.

Very nice camp site. Sites are far enough away from each other so you can enjoy yourself. I gave it four stars because the ground is very hard making it difficult to find a spot for your tent but we made it work.

Originally reserved the site #24, but when I got there, the nearby site was occupied with a big family. I asked the camp hosts if I could switch to site #17 which is a First come First served only site, which was unoccupied. The site #17 is very private and spacious. Clean bathroom nearby but not too close. The camp hosts cleaned the bathroom twice a day, and they were available when I needed them. Clean bear box, flat lots for tents. We had a 2-person tent and an 8-person tent side by side. Shade trees for a hammock. It was a very enjoyable two-nights stay despite the fire restrictions. We cooked everything on a two-burner propane grill and a one-burner butane stove. The other campers, at times loud with excited kids, seemed very courageous.
The site #24 has a tree swing nearby, but the site is too close to site #23 for my liking. Those sites would be perfect for a two-family camp or with multiple friends.
Very happy camper here!

The campsite was nice, but there was a family in a nearby campsite (about 30 feet away) who were drinking alcohol, played loud music, spoke loudly, spoke foul language, drove cars in and out of the campsite until 2 a.m. so we could not sleep. My two young daughters and wife could not sleep either. I wanted to go tell them to be quiet, but there were about 10-12 people there at the party and since they were drinking alcohol I didn't want to upset them and get into an argument or fight. I wish there was some kind of security or a nightwatchman there to patrol the campground just to make sure everyone was abiding by the rules or at least showing some sense of manners for others and the outdoors because it wasn't a peaceful night in the mountains for my daughter's autumn vacation which was disappointing.

Overall it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and answered any questions we had about the area. It was very clean at the campsite. I would recommend getting there almost exactly at check in time, because my boyfriend and I got there very late at night unfortunately and someone had parked in our assigned spot.

Just a nice peaceful (usually) campground next to a good fishing lake for trout.
