Beautiful scenery, and a great cabin. The driveway to the cabin was barely passable with my Camry on the way in. After 2 days of snow fall it was a much scarier drive out. Wouldn't recommend trying it in a car during the winter.

I've rented many cabins, guard stations, etc. in multiple states for the last 15 years
Road to cabin is deeply rutted and is questionable for passenger cars; we accessed with Ford F150 with high clearance
Plan to "share" your experience with mice, multiple access points
Long time accumulation of grease and grime in the kitchen (yes, we did our part and cleaned in every room)
There is no evidence of once a month "professional" cleaning (heat vents were black with accumulated grime, oven is unusable due to grease)
Cleaning supplies minimal, plan to bring your own, mask and glove up
Suggestion to Coronado National Forest, Nogales Ranger District: offer a program similar to 10th Mountain Hut system in Colorado to
have interested guests deep clean the cabin in exchange for "free" nights
The location by the stream, great hiking trails and being a world class area for birding, up my review to 3 stars
Please pay it forward and clean for the next guests

Thank-you to people before us. Cabin was in great shape. We spotted: Deer, squirrels, Blue Jay, Kudamundi on back porch twice. No evidence of Mice this trip. Will be back in March

The cabin was all cleaned up. We only saw one mouse the whole time! There has been lots of rain and so it is very green and refreshing.
