Beautiful location and really neat cabin. Very special place.
Our two day visit was crowded by the time we had to spend cleaning on arrival and before we left. I wish I had three days to relax a little in the middle.

I suspect that the Kent Springs Cabin would be a great rental during spring and fall. Unfortunately, we rented it during winter and our rental period overlapped with a wind/rain/snow storm. The cancellation window is too far out to get a refund when the cabin is all but inaccessible due to bad weather. Rain and snow saturated/softened the gravel road and our small SUV car sunk 10-11" deep into pre-existing ruts, but we somehow managed to slog up the hill. We left the next morning while the road was frozen firm, after spending all night worried that we might get stuck on the drive out. It was not a relaxing stay.

My husband and I went to Kent Spring Cabin on our 3 year anniversary and it was perfect. Madera Canyon is such a special place and the cabin just had the feel of it all. It was much bigger than we expected and it was interesting to understand the story of the building. The people before us left it clean and organized. We had everything we needed and more to cook and be comfortable. We kept thinking that this is the perfect place to have a gathering with friends or family. Tucked on the slope of the mountain, right on the trail and we woke up to a beautiful snow storm.
