Staff is very courteous and helpful. Camp store is well stocked. The tent sites are well spaced with level tent pads (easily the nicest tent sites I've seen). If you're looking for some seclusion, I highly recommend the hike from camp out to Uncle Jim's Overlook (I didn't see another person for about 4 hours).

Great wooded campground, close to a lot of hiking. One trail goes between the campground and the rim. Excellent sunset views!

The North Rim camp was very pleasant. Staff was friendly and check in was smooth. Although water supply was limited due to pipe breakage, we were still able to make things work. Restrooms had running water for sink and toilets, which was nice. Definitely recommend for stay on the best side of the Canyon.

You can escape the Disneyland of the South Rim by visiting the campground at the North Rim. This lovely alternative includes large wooded campsites set at substantial distances from each other, avoiding the noise and overcrowding we found at campgrounds like Bryce Canyon’s. The ranger staff were professional, friendly, and informative. Bathrooms and toilets clean and numerous. The camp store was well stocked at open 7 to 7. Currently the showers and laundromat are closed due to a water main break, but drinking water and bathroom facilities are functioning normally. The campground is located next to the rim trail on Transept Canyon, which takes you in 1.5 mi to Bright Angel Point and spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommended.

Our site was most of the day directly in the sun.
It had space enough for us and our motorhome.
Nearest site to the trail along the rim and to the lodge.
Walking distance to the general store was good.
We hopefully will com back again. We are German.

Our tent area was very nicely shaded, close to the bathroom, and close to the rim so we could backpack to the start of the North Kaibab trail. Would recommend.

Rangers have a color coded park map of the size rig for each space. It would be nice if that was applied to the booking site so you would know which spaces accomodate larger rigs. When you fill out the rig size and it is over the allowable in the space the reservation should not be able to be made. I ended up with 3-27' spaces that were able to accomodate larger.
The staff was great and we had an incredible time.
Hopefully next time we return the showers are available.
We love this camp ground and try to come anually.

North Rim Campground is 210 mi (210 mi), approximately a 4.5 hour drive, from Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim.
This facility is located at the end of State Highway 67, about 41 mi (41 mi) south of Jacob Lake, AZ, 87 mi (87 mi) south of Kanab, UT, and 120 mi (119.9 mi) southwest of Page, AZ. Highway 67 is the only road into and out of the North Rim. There is no access by road directly across the canyon to the other canyon rim.
From State Highway 89A, take Highway 67 south for 30 mi (29.8 mi) to the Grand Canyon North Rim Entrance Station. The North Rim Campground is located about 11.5 mi (11.5 mi) further.
Highway access
North Rim Campground is accessible via State Highway 67, which is the only road into and out of the North Rim. The nearest major road is State Highway 89A, located approximately 30 miles to the north.
