What Guests Are Saying
The North Rim Campground is highly praised for its spacious and well-maintained sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and proximity to the Grand Canyon views. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the availability of a general store with essential supplies. Although there were some issues with water access and restroom cleanliness during a recent fire evacuation, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return in the future.

Avoid this park. Everything was closed and the one short trail that would allow you to see the Grand Canyon has not been fixed after a year from the fire.

With so much closed consider just visiting the South Rim.

We have never seen the North Rim so quiet. In spite of some burn areas, it is still a magical place. We loved the campground and store was open along with an info desk. Go while you can and support the North Rim!!!

The campground is charging the same price as pre-fire.
There is no water, no toilets, laundry, or showers yet the price is the same. Add to that the flooding which has closed 90% of the trails and there is no notice that we will be affected.
We skipped our third night and went to blm land as it was free for the same amount of no services.
You really need to do a better job of informing campers and for sure adjust the campsite prices until services are restored.

If your RV is more than 22 ft, we are not allowed to go anywhere.

It was easy to book. Campground was as expected, nice.
People at the store and camp host were great.
Thank you.

VerifiedSeptember 26, 2026 • Stayed at: T-05, Loop: TENT ONLY
We selected and paid for the site on Recreation.gov, and checked with the info kiosk the next morning when they opened to make sure we didn’t need to do anything else. We were gone hiking all day and returned in the around sunset to find our tent gone and someone else’s tent in our place. Park Police were extremely prompt and helpful in discovering what had happened after they verified that our reservation for this site was correct. Someone had booked campsite 005 mistaking it for tent loop site T-05. He arrived while we were hiking and complained when he saw the site he thought he had booked occupied. Without verifying his reservation someone on the campground staff authorized the maintenance staff to remove our belongings. They were returned to us thrown in trash bags and we were told we could choose any other site we wanted (again - no understanding of booking online and the fact that someone else might show up having booked the site we chose). No apology, no offer of help to move our belongings or help set up again (the Police did both!) Clearly the concessionaire, Aramark, and staff (campground host, store manager) have no clue about customer service or how Reservation.gov works. We use the website often for National Forest campgrounds and have never had this kind of mess. T-05 is a beautiful site, but if you visit the North Rim Campground, make sure you take a printout of your reservation and post it at your campsite!

Campground was clean and not as crowded as I expected. Signs saying that roads or attractions being closed would be helpful. 2 days and not able to see most lookouts. Opened 3 day but to late for me

It is so beautiful up there. Even though there was a large fire up there last year it did not destroy all the trees in fact most of the trees remain and the ones that burned near the edge of the canyon has opened up the views of the canyon. The staff at the store in the campground were welcoming and the campground was clean and quiet. It rained while I was there and the sounds of rain on a camper is so peaceful. The forest smelled so beautiful after the rain. I look forward to camping there next summer again

Because of the inclement bad weather my scheduled camping days I was not able to access the campground as the road was washed out. Severe thunderstorms and rain the days I scheduled to camp. Thank you. Jerome Celski
