What Guests Are Saying
The North Rim Campground is highly praised for its spacious and well-maintained sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and proximity to the Grand Canyon views. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the availability of a general store with essential supplies. Although there were some issues with water access and restroom cleanliness during a recent fire evacuation, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return in the future.

Despite there being no water available at the campground it was still a wonderful experience. The fire definitely took some of the beauty away, but the Grand Canyon is a mystical place.

Spectacular area right on the edge of the canyon. Beautiful sunset!

There was no excuse for the picnic table to not be leveled. It was extraordinarily uncomfortable to be sitting at an angle the way it was. Dig a trench and do it right.

It is a totally different and beautiful view of the Grand canyon from the North Rim! Unfortunately the Lodge is gone and we can not appreciate the view looking out from the lodge windows or verandas, etc. BUT, the forest is still lush and green! Yes some of the areas have the burn swatches which will take time to have regrowth! However there are natural meadows that complement the forest line surrounding the meadows! We saw a heard of approximately 40 to 45 buffalo! There were a couple of buffalo calves in the mix, especially because it is that time of the year! We counted over 50 deer on our evening drive! The wild turkeys (6) were a delight to watch eating in the field and then they decided to cross the road in front of us on their way to the forest line for cover and protection! The general store had food and refreshment items as well as the typical treasures of remembrance for you to take home as souvenirs! The welcome center was lost to the fire but the general store provided with the park attendees an adequate alternative!

The description was wrong. It said flush toilets and drinking water and there was none of either. And only two porta-johns for the entire campground.

Ranger Matt Baldwin at the info booth was so helpful. Excellent advice on where to hike. And inspired by that I’m hoping to do the Rim to Rim hike next October.

Despite some trails were closed and fire restrictions imposed This tent-only site and it’s location near the north rim was very enjoyable.
But I see that you/park service are adding 7 new camp sites closer to the rim. Packing these sites too close together ruins the tent-only experience in this area

The North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge is closed due to the Dragon Bravo fire, but the campground is open. No services like rooms, restaurants, water, sewer, etc. The campground was fairly empty so it was pleasant. No crowds at all on the view points. Saw a herd of buffalo. Bring water and everything you need with you. Jacob Lake Inn on the way to the North Rim is open so stop for the best cookies.
