What Guests Are Saying
The North Rim Campground is highly praised for its spacious and well-maintained sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and proximity to the Grand Canyon views. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the availability of a general store with essential supplies. Although there were some issues with water access and restroom cleanliness during a recent fire evacuation, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return in the future.

No water. No power. No nothing. It's just like a back country camping.

Due to Bravo fire damage, temporary facilities (porta potty's) understandable, not so sure about continued closure of upper rim trails.
But most disappointing was the lack of drinking water usually provided by the NPS.
Having to pay $6 a gallon to the concessioner was unreasonable, and came accross as them taking advantage of a natural disaster to increase profit.

I went on this trip with my son. During his high school years we hike the south rim 5 times together with the Adventure Club his teacher has started. He has never been to the North Rim so it was a bucket list item for us. It was spectacular. The campgrounds were clean and cozy. Thanks to everyone in the park service for all you do in these trying times. We appreciate you.

One more good night at the North Rim. So sad to see the fire damage to such a wonderful place. No water or bathrooms...but spotless Porta-Potties.

As sad as it was to see all the fire damage, we (my adult daughter and I) had an amazing overnight experience camping in the park. We knew that resources were going to be limited and planned accordingly. The porta potties were as clean as they could be. We were fortunate to get a tent site almost on the rim. Staff that we did interact with were kind, friendly and answered all of our questions to the best of their ability. It was weird though because the area was very empty. My daughter and I had Cape Royal all to ourselves in the evening for a while. I have the utmost respect for those that work hard to keep our parks safe, our parks clean and our parks open for everyone. Thank you all!

Beautiful area. Not many resources but it keeps the crowds down. Just plan accordingly and it will be fine.

Great campground. Will be even better when the showers are available again. Only complaint was an inconsiderate “neighbor” that left exterior Rzv lights on all night.
