What Guests Are Saying
The North Rim Campground is highly praised for its spacious and well-maintained sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and proximity to the Grand Canyon views. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the availability of a general store with essential supplies. Although there were some issues with water access and restroom cleanliness during a recent fire evacuation, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return in the future.

great campsite, close to rest rooms and the best part was no cell service in my campsite so no one could bother me.

Peaceful and quiet. View of the Canyon is very good. Most campers at this campground stayed for one night, but everyone set up and torn down their camps quietly and efficiently. We stayed 5 days - good hiking trails for a 5 day trip. Area could have a few more trails as the canyon and surrounding terrain is beautiful. We would stay longer if there were more hiking/walking/viewing opportunities.

Overall the campground is nice but our site #7 was terrible. The site is extremely sloped and even trying to cook was an issue due to the sloping table. The worst part is the road slopes into this spot and a dry creek bed is right next to the tent pad, As a result even small rain will flood the campsite and your tent. Only a 1/2" rain left about 3" deep water in our tent. Would definitely camp in other sites in this campground but would definitely avoid site #7.

So glad the water is back on now. We travel with a dog, so glad that the bridle path is dog friendly.

North Rim campground is very nice. Not overly crowded like some campgrounds. Nice hike down to the visitors center, and the views from the canyon rim next to the campground were stunning at evening. Restrooms clean and well tended to, a nice little store available for supplies and souvenirs.

The tent sites are lovely. If you are a tent camper, however, the regular sites often don’t have enough level ground for even a two-man tent. Also, I know there is no easy solution for this problem, but so many sites were empty. I had to switch sites for my second night, and the site I moved to had been unoccupied for several days. It’s so easy to cancel on recreation.gov- there’s no excuse for this.
