What Guests Are Saying
Mogollon Campground receives high praise for its friendly and attentive hosts, well-maintained facilities, and convenient location near scenic trails and Woods Canyon Lake. Campers appreciate the clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the week. Some minor concerns include rocky ground making tent setup challenging and occasional noise from nearby roads and other campers, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

We love camping up on the Rim. We liked Mogollon due to it's small size and large campsites. Unfortunately the only time to tent camp is during monsoon season. We have been flooded out the last two times we have been there. There is not a single campsite that doesn't turn into a lake when it rains. We had booked two sites with another couple for 5-nights, we had to leave before the first night due to heavy rain, hail, and lightning. With no refunds, we won't be gambling on Mogollon again. Searching for a campground that has campsites designed to drain, not pond.

Campsite #18 is really rocky, so our entire group ended up camping on our second campsite #19 (next to #18). #19 is roomy, accommodating 5 tents and two canopies.
The manager kept the bathrooms clean, but the toilet vaults were at capacity and smelled bad.
We arrived after a heavy rainstorm and most of the sites were flooded, we were happy to see that we selected high ground sites.
Overall, we enjoyed camping in this particular area of the woods. It's close to Mogollon trailhead and also Woods Canyon Lake.

I liked the campsite, lots of wildflowers. Not too far from the lake and rim

We had spots 24 & 25.
The location is lovely. Has hikes with beautiful views. Only a 5 minute drive to Woods Canyon Lake.
The restrooms are vault style and as far that goes, it was ok - smelly but as clean as you could probably get with that style.
It is semi close to the road which is fine during the day but noticeable at night with the traffic noise and the lights that keep shining through the tents.
But I’d camp there again

Solid camp site. I was at campsite 20 which is closest to the road and it was pretty loud as we were trying to sleep. Bathroom was clean although lots of flies. Good fire pit, good picnic table, easy to find. I like that it’s connected to a beautiful hiking trail.

We had a very large group that took up 5 sites. Sites were very clean and camp host was very nice!
We are already planning for next year!😊

Camp host was attentive and helpful. The area was quieter than expected. I would recommend this campground.

Awesome location. Did not camp on the weekend, I am sure it would be more crowded but very quiet during the week. Campground was very clean. Close to trails of hiking and viewpoints of the rim. It was constantly windy just fyi but thats typical on the rim.
