Our family had a great trip to Sharp Creek Group site #2. This location is a beautiful area. It does make me feel sad that needed repairs to the site are not getting done with the site rental fees that we pay. I feel that the private contracted daily operations, maintenance and facilities management has failed in their responsibilities. I would like to request a full audit and review of the contract and services.

Great group site. Easily accommodates large groups. Love the huge field for games and covered Ramada for meals. The electrical outlet in the Ramada allowed us to plug in a 60 cup coffee maker...so nice on a frosty morning for the whole group.

Lovely campground with lots of shade trees and ample space between most sites. Every site has a large picnic bench, grill, and fire pit. The camp hosts kept everything very clean, there was no sign that the campground had been full over the weekend prior to our arrival.

The only thing that could make Sharp Creek even better is a dump station. Other than that it is great. 👍

This facility is located 23 mi northeast of Payson, Arizona, approximately 1.5 mi east of Christopher Creek. From Payson, take Highway 260 east for 23 mi. The campground is on the south side of Highway 260.

- Extra vehicle charge of $8 per night is required if applicable. Fee can be bundled with online reservation or purchased on-site at fee machine.
- No off-highway vehicles allowed off the main campground road.
- No firewood sales available at campground. Plan to purchase ahead of time.
- For First-Come, First-Served sites, you must physically arrive at the campground to see if the campsite is available. There is no guarantee this site will be available to purchase upon your arrival.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Quiet hours are; no amplified music.
