The spots are quite large, it is very nice and quiet. The bathrooms are well maintained. Also very close to fishing. I would totally recommend Sharp Creek. We can not wait till next year to return.

Liked the paved roads and sites. Good having both potable and drinking water available. Clean restrooms. Lots of shade. Many of the camp sites have good spacing between them. A very enjoyable experience. Good location.

Living down in Phoenix, we love escaping up north and being among the pine trees. The easy access to bathrooms and dumpster were helpful. We especially enjoyed being so close to Willow Springs Lake and stopping into Payson for a quick bite to eat.

Love the amount of shade and privacy between most of the sites on Oak Loop where we stayed. There was a bit of road noise and music coming from a bar? restaurant? outdoor concert? both nights but we still drifted off to sleep fairly quickly. Outhouse style bathrooms were kept well-stocked with toilet paper.

This is a very nice camp ground, well maintained. The camp hosts are overbearing and nosey. They are always patrolling stopping in at every site , it seems to make sure people have their pets on leashes at all times, making sure people keep camp grounds clean and making sure you leave at exactly 11am. They kept almost harassing people at every site, it was kinda funny to watch them roll up on people for no reason but to ensure that they won’t having a good time , it’s like they forget the reason why people go camping, I understand the need to ensure that the campgrounds are maintained but no one wants to go camping with their authoritative grandpa or weird uncle or nosey aunt Susie ALWAYS looking over their shoulders.

Facilities were cleaned and well kept.
Noise after 10pm was taken care of by forest rangers.
I enjoyed the walks around the campground area.

Sharp Creek is a great location. Amenities were clean and campsites were far enough apart that you didn’t feel like you were camping on top of someone else. Lots of extra curricular activities in the local area.

I have been going here for about 15 years. This year there were so many wasps at group site 3 that it was unbearable. The wasps have their nests inside the pillars of the ramada so there were just so many. Also we saw a baby rattle snake for the first time and also there was no water in the creek. The bathrooms had so many flies it was disgusting. Again i been coming for 15 years so i am not new to bugs and camping. It was just a lot this time.
