The campground is group size (75people) but the won’t fit that much people and the restroom is gross, have a lot of flys … but the campground is really good and nice!

We have been camping here for twenty years. Since USFS took over recently, this campground is no longer enjoyable. Bathrooms were not cleaned or stocked with to the four days we were there. Tent campers took the largest sites even though the the tent loop was empty Three to four cars per site with tents and shade tents flowing into our site. We only saw the host one time in four days.

I like this campground because it is high and dry most of the time. and trees have been thinned out to be OK for solar power; However, the new changes mean no firewood for sale because the government won't allow host to handle any money like they have done in the past. Now you have to pay online or use a kiosk at the entrance. I always make reservations and pay then for the site I choose. This Campground is midway up to the rim so it is calmer than the rim sites and Sharp Creek has paved roads for well-groomed sites... tents have a parking area and you have to take a path to those sites. I have been camping here since 2012.

Our campsite had adequate shade and a lovely area behind it where the kids could play, explore, and walk the dog.

Large and well spaced campsites. Clean bathroom. You could hear the highway but that was the only downside and it would not stop me from staying again.

Beautiful campground, large sites, plenty of room between them. Water spigots located around the cg to fill jugs or small RVs. Great hiking in the area, Horton Creek and its spring are a must do.
