Large and well spaced campsites. Clean bathroom. You could hear the highway but that was the only downside and it would not stop me from staying again.

Beautiful campground, large sites, plenty of room between them. Water spigots located around the cg to fill jugs or small RVs. Great hiking in the area, Horton Creek and its spring are a must do.

Listen. This is my absolute most favorite campground. The spaces are spread out. The bathrooms have always been clean. It’s close to stores if needed. I love it.

We are AZ locals in the Valley so we come here fairly frequently. Nice small park with good sites that are well spaced. Both RV loops are good but we prefer the Oak to the Juniper because Oak offers a little more space and trees. No hiking trails but you can walk the park road and explore the creek if it is running. So in general you can get exercise if you want. It isn't far from the highway but you really don't hear the road very much.
Our only issue with this park is that when we have booked on Rec.gov it has showed there are few sites available for our days. But when we got there we had an entire loop to ourselves. We usually camp mid week so a park being quiet is to be expected. But we are wondering whether rec.gov keeps up to date as much as it should or there are lots of cancellations. Don't know, but thought we'd point it out for others to check via phone if the park seems booked. This has happened to us twice in the last year and a half.
Not complaining about having a loop to ourselves but just letting you know that what you see online may not be what is actually available for whatever reason.

Great location near beautiful trails. The site is super clean with nice spacing for tent camping. A gang of Elk and a herd of cows visited during our stay.
