Camp host was very nice and friendly. The sites were far enough apart for privacy with some shade. Only one bathroom so that was a bit inconvenient. Great location to explore the rim trails and Woods Canyon Lake. This campground mid-week had few campers which made it nice and quiet.

It was okay. Sites are super close. Seems way laid back. There was one site with like 60 people in it. No one wearing masks. Hiking was good. Canyon Lake was insane and no social distancing.

I love this campground. It's just a short hike to the edge of the rim. Not far from woods canyon or Willow springs. I like having phone signal because the wife doesn't camp with me and it's nice to be able to get ahold of her. My biggest complaint is I think the $18 fee is a little steep for not really supplying anything except a dirty non flushable bathroom and a picnic table.

Campground was clean and the camp host was very nice! Great spot to walk to the Rim Trail, or short drive to Wood Canyon Lake. The only drawback was that you could hear the trucks/cars on the nearby highway which is about 1/2 mile away. It's not really noticeable when everyone is socializing around camp, but you can hear it when nearby surroundings are quiet.

We stayed in spot 22. Unfortunately, spots 21, 23, and another on the inner circle were all part of a large family camping together. They were loud, up late every night, kids hit our vehicle several time with sports balls and kites, one kid even climbed in our car just after we arrived. The site itself was clean. The women's bathroom smelled so bad it burned your nose and throat. It hailed our second night, and our tent flooded, so we had to sleep in our car. However, the host, Larry, was very kind. We hung all of our things out to dry early the next morning and he didn't rush us in leaving, although we were able to leave by checkout time. Nice guy constantly driving around picking up other people's trash. We visited Willow Springs Lake, which was beautiful. We didn't get the relaxing weekend we were hoping for, and likely will not stay at this location again, but the kids still said they had fun and that's what matters. It sure is a trip they will never forget!
