We love our camp spots, the camp hosts were wonderful and we had a great ride doing the loop. The terrain is rocky and has plenty of elevation changes (1250 ft). We did a 14.2 mile loop. Water is accessible to the pens, just need to bring lots of hose. Restrooms and clean and available.

This campsite 🏕 was clean both in the restrooms and showers. The lots are well maintained and clean also. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any concerns or questions you have. We had a great time here making family memories and we will definitely be returning!!

Great weather. Hosts were pleasant and did not bother. Restrooms were clean. Close amenities. Only negative was the closure of most showers

Our site was a little close to the highway, but everything else was great. It was the first time we had been here.

Very annoying neighbors. Had people come to the campsite next to us after I fell asleep. Woke up hearing music through my ear plugs at 2:30 A.M. to people partying next to us. Nothing was done to quiet them down. It also sounded like people were racing very close to the campground all night long.

Great escape with the horses from The Valley. we go often. 2 stalls, beautiful campsites, fire pits and nearby water. Running water and real toilets in bathrooms a plus for those that need them. Trails are limited but enough for a 4 hour ride. We recommend.

The campground is nice and convenient but you can hear the traffic from the 87. Some sites are very close together and some are more spread out.

Very clean, well maintained sites. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were on the elk loop, and no complaints!

Campground was clean and quiet. We didn’t realize that it was so close to Payson, AZ ( right on the edge of town) but it really wasn’t a problem. The sites have good spacing between them and is wooded.

From Payson, Arizona, go north for 1 mile to the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road). Turn right (east) onto Forest Road 199 for .10 miles. The campground is on the north side of Houston Mesa Road.
