The campsites were far apart and sheltered from each other so you didn't feel you were on top of your neighbor. There was some road noise as our campsite was on the loop closest to the road. Surprised to find a $10 fee for dumping. Maybe I didn't read the fine print ahead of time. Would stay there again. Lots to explore in the area.

This was our first time here. It will be one of our go to spots going forward. Wasn't expecting to love it because it's so close to town, (you could walk to Payson if you choose to, its only about a mile or 2 depending on where exactly you want yo go) but, it's all that was open up north. I wanted trees and that is hard to come by this early in the year because most places are closed for winter. We LOVED it here. Lots of trees make you feel so far away from town and provide great privacy between sires. The sites are large and well spaced. Had Elk in the camp early morning and at night. The showers are clean and hot, and 3 minutes is way longer than you think. Bring quarters. $3 per shower. Had plenty of time to enjoy it and still had time left. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Whether it's a one night stop over or a week of unwinding, we definitely recommend Houston Mesa campground.

The host were amazing, always coming to check on us. The site was big and we had so much fun except for the cold weather.
