Really enjoyed the site. Bit of road noise due to location, but didn't bother me much.

I love the fact that it’s not too far from the city so if you need to go into town that’s not a problem and then right back to your campsite awesome place to camp. Would totally recommend and would be back again

This was an AWESOME campground. Extremely well kept and clean. The bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground. Water was always nearby and convenient as well.

We have camped at Houston Mesa Campgrounds every year for the past four years, so I would say it's one of our favorite campgrounds. Camp sites are spacious and clean. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are well kept and we like that this campground has showers. Good location. Close to Payson, so if you forget something you basically go around the corner. Also close to many attractions like Tonto Natural Bridge and the rim lakes. Just remember to lock up your food and pick up scraps around your site because you will have visitors at night. We had javalina come through our site but they did not stay long being we put all our food away.

Great campsite, close enough to the city, with all the amenities, but still enough of the getting away feeling!

We had 2 Honda generators stolen in the middle of the night that we had chained together in place. Police came in the morning and a report was made. Generators were never recovered.

Stayed here memorial weekend and it was a amazing! Labor Day weekend.... that was another story. Major yellow jacket problem, which I’m allergic to. Which resulted in us Buying a covered awning, because they only came out when food was around. Camp host said everyone was having that problem, so we couldn’t change sites. We will definitely be back to this campground, but not once it’s warm.
