The site was nice enough and the volunteer that helped us was great, but paying $10 to use the dump station after already paying for the campsite is a bit excessive, and the lock on the dump cover was difficult to operate and could close if one wasn't ready to prop it open.

What a great place to camp and spend time with family! We had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Hosts of the campground upon arrival, Mr. Stoney and Mrs Judi. They were extremely pleasant, very welcoming, and available to us for anything that we needed. You could see the pride they take as Hosts as the campgrounds were very clean. We are already planning our next trips and looked at some of the other campsites on our walks, all of them were absolutely beautiful! The restrooms were always clean and available within a very short distance from our campground.

This is a great campground in a great area. The camp hosts are very nice and the hiking trails accessible from the campground are neat. Even though the campground is very close to Payson it feels like you are not close to any type of town. There were some javelina running through the campground at one point which was cool to see. The campground is not at all crowded in winter.
