Had an awesome time. Campground was very clean. Spaces were large and as private as you can get in a public campground. Good hiking activities for kids. We had a great time. Close to town yet it was as if you were out in the deep woods. Disappointed about the showers being closed because of COVID.

My wife and I had a great experience. The grounds were well kept and the facilities were very clean. Stoney and Judi were very friendly and took care of the few needs that we did have. The nature walk inside the campground was nice but the hiking in the forestry land next to the the property was extraordinary. We had a very enjoyable three days and nights.

It was BEAUTIFUL, and the campground hosts were absolutely delightful! I was a woman camping alone and I felt completely safe and comfortable, even in a nearly deserted campground in November (and then again in early December). Can't wait to go back!

Nice spot with a picnic table and elevated fire pit. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Right in the center of Payson...close to stores, food, hiking, etc. Would go again!

The campsite was well maintained and clean, great phone signal. The major problem was noise - the campsite I reserved is very close (less than 300 yards, I imagine) to a 4-lane highway, with a major intersection with a home depot across the street from the campground. None of that was really highlighted in any of the descriptions I saw. For a quick family getaway this campsite is fine, but it's far from being truly removed/isolated from human activity.
