What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. However, concerns were raised about tree removal plans affecting the campground's appeal and some noise disturbances from nearby highways and other campers.

Very nice campground. It was very clean. The toliets were the cleanest I have ever been to and that’s a lot. Camp hosts were friendly and answered all the questions we had. We’ll go back there for sure!

We have been going to this Campground for over 10 years. It’s easy to get to and grounds are nicely groomed. Very clean campground. We went this past Memorial Day weekend ( 2022 ). The bathrooms were always clean and the campground was full. There was a big family reunion and I wanted to give a shout out to those families they were very respectful and mindful of the other campers. Ponderosa is a nice getaway from Phoenix to go camping .

Very clean and private sites. Campground host was very friendly. Pot toilets were the nicest I’ve ever experienced. Road noise was not obnoxious as other have mentioned. We really enjoyed our time at Ponderosa and will be back. FYI - Verizon coverage was not great; the second night and day we could not access the internet at all.
