Loved our first visit to this site this past weekend. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and the bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen. Beautiful views of the rim, and the sites are spaced out nicely. We will for sure be back again!

Sites were very well spaced and maintained and the hosts were great. We had lots of shade at our spot. My only complaint is that campers across the road apparently had their generator going during the entire time period it was allowed. Perhaps there should be a restriction on the number of hours/day? We were not at our site the entire day but when we were it was constant generator noise.

Very clean campground and facilities. Large open field for games. Wonderful ramada and grill. Tent area is somewhat hilly and surrounding forest is very hilly.

Site was clean and easy to access. Very nice campsite with plenty of space to stretch out without feeling like another site was right on top of your area.

Getting There
This facility is located 23 mi northeast of Payson, Arizona, approximately 1.5 mi east of Christopher Creek. From Payson, take Highway 260 east for 23 mi. The campground is on the south side of Highway 260.

General
- Extra vehicle charge of $8 per night is required if applicable. Fee can be bundled with online reservation or purchased on-site at fee machine.
- No off-highway vehicles allowed off the main campground road.
- No firewood sales available at campground. Plan to purchase ahead of time.
- For First-Come, First-Served sites, you must physically arrive at the campground to see if the campsite is available. There is no guarantee this site will be available to purchase upon your arrival.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Quiet hours are; no amplified music.
