I found that my campsite as well as quite a few other ones were rundown and needing updates. There was no level ground anywhere for pitching a tent. The picnic table was slanting downhill.

The camp host was completely unreasonable. There were many open campsites mid week and I was in space 09 for 1 night (i thought i reserved 2 nights)... the second night (Monday night) I was met by the sheriff around 8pm... we both proceeded to the camp host and she demanded i pack up and move my site to a different site because someone had reserved mine (let me remind you there are plenty of sites open). So instead of letting me pay for the extra night in the same spot i was required to move. I even offered to leave at 8am the next day so the next guest could take my site. So I ended up leaving the camp all together that night and site 09 just sat empty.

Beautiful campground! Camp host was very friendly. People around very nice. Its very quiet. Vault toilets were clean enough but the flies were overwhelming. Be sure to leave the lid shut otherwise you can smell it if you are near. We stayed for two days. The water was cold from the sprockets. Had a bit of a slope where we camped at #36 but we made it work. The table was also sloped but there were only 3 of us and it didn't bother us much. Had a grill for a campfire. Parking a little tight but enough for our truck to be tucked away from the road enough. It was overall a wonderful experience! I would visit again!

Love this campground. We have stayed here a few times. The hosts are always very nice, and the campground is clean and spread out nicely.

We’ve been coming to White Spar for years, the setting is beautiful. There have in the PAST issues for cleanliness at the campsite.
The host , Wendy, is exceptional this year. She keeps the campsite perfect… we will definitely be coming back! Thanks Wendy for a wonderful stay. Bernadette & Jeff Dahl - Scottsdale

There was no indication from the recreation.gov web site that we needed to park on the side of the road vs. by the campsite. I was able to find a first come first serve spot that was much better. I tried to cancel my reservation online. It said I was eligible to get $26 back, but every time I tried to submit the cancellation it showed an error. My 3 nights of camping ended up costing me $116. Aside from that, the lady working the camp site was very nice and courteous. Campground facilities were in good order. Great campsite for mountain biking as there are 3 trailheads at the entrance to the campgrounds. All three are great trails. Bean Peak should serve as a role model for other cities trying to attract mountain bikers of varying skill levels. Another trail takes you to Goldwater lakes and was very fun. Across 89 is the other trail which for me was an out and back, 5 mi each way.
