White Spar Campground

Love this camp ground- clean and easy access to the MTB park.

The campground felt much smaller than what was advertised on the website, and the sites were packed too close together. One of our sites was also left in bad shape, full of debris from a recent rain. We pointed it out, but no one came to clean it. In the end, we had to clear it ourselves just to set up our tent. These campsites are also right next to a neighborhood, so you get a fair bit of road noise.

The online pictures for the reserved sites are completely wrong. We booked site -44 that didn’t have the usual picnic table, was way too small to park a car or put up big tent. The camp host was very rude and was giving various reasons of why the site is out of order. They were also complaining about how much work it is to clean the sites after use. We ended up booking another site with no option of refunding the original site. Unless you live in the vicinity, I would highly recommend NOT booking this campsite.

Beautiful campground, easy to park, picnic table and fire ring were really nice! Clean campground, trails right there, tent pad perfect. I don’t prefer vault toilets but they were clean.

Very well maintained campground close to town.

I Mountain Bike, so it's really great to be right next to Bean Peak trailhead. Also, only a short drive drive to Thumb Butte, and many other stellar trailheads. Old Town Prescott has many good Eateries, and Saloons, where you can Rehydrate and Refuel.

We were in #31. It was spacious and quiet

We stayed at site 15. Past reviews mentioned that it wasn't level, and I assumed it wouldn’t be a significant issue. However, it turned out to be a big deal! The site is a drive-through that has a steep sideways slant, making it quite challenging to level our trailer.
On a positive note, the campground was clean and well-kept. The pit toilets were, as expected, just pit toilets. There was some road noise, and a few campers ran their generators constantly, but that wasn't a major problem. The campground's proximity to town was convenient.
Overall, I liked the campground but wouldn't choose site 15 again because of the slant.

Site #8 is not good for large trailers. It has a steep incline to get to the site, the pad itself is at a 90° turn and made it impossible to get our 30' trailer in. Luckily we were able to get a different site. Just be warned if you have a larger camper. Looks great for tents.

My daughter's and I went to White spar campground and stayed at camp 36. We set up are tent on the lower level by the stone wall. We had a ten person rectangular tent and put the back of the tent facing the trees on the lower level. The right side of the tent slopes slightly. So we put our foldable beds with mattresses we got from amazon on the slop with the foot of the bed facing the road. We slept great. We also brought an octagon sunscreen with adjustable legs and put it over the fire pit. We truly enjoyed are time in the beautiful pines at White Spar.
