The camp grounds were nice and clean. Camp host was helpful. But all 3 restrooms were close for remodeling when you pay for facilities they should work they could have remodeled 2 and left one working instead of having to use nasty j Johns! And why no showers?

Very clean and tidy campground with fantastic views of the lake and the mountains on all sides. All the stores in Globe said they are usually sold out of firewood, so if you want to have a fire, you may need to stop and get some wood before you get to Globe. The campground manager was very helpful when we had some confusion about which side of the post was our site

14 day stay spot 205-for the most part it was ok however this location has poor to no mobile data signal. while we were there construction began on demolishing the bathrooms (flushing toilets, sinks) and brought in porta potties. Handicappers BEWARE! water was still avail. also sealing cracks in road system throughout area. maybe getting ready to repave campgrounds which will bring in more construction noise and tar/oil smell? not a big fan of that. however nights were quiet . By the way mouse proof your camping equipment and vehicles, they everywhere there and like nesting in and eating electrical wiring.

Nice campground with few people while cool at the lake. But for some unknown reson the USFS is in the process of doing away with flush toilets there and they moved in portable outhouses while we were there . Apparently there will be vault toilets instead and no water system. Which makes you wonder what exactly the campground fees are paying for besides the reservation system..
However there are marvelous birds, it does not take long to get to the boyce thomspon arboretum and to Globe and Payson, and the lake is nice in winter with no one on it.

Campground was nice, clean and scenic. Spaces are a bit too close to one another for my liking. I thought there were quiet hours to ensure jack wagons don’t run generators all night, but I guess not. Two knuckleheads ran their 99 decibel generators ALL night. That’s just straight up bulls&!$ in my book.

Camp host and reservation service good. The spots need to be leveled.

Beautiful, clean, close to lake.
I wish, however, that other campers would refrain from playing their music and running generators after dark when I'm sitting peacefully by the campfire wanting to hear the night sounds, not generators.

They should limit the hours for generators. Bathrooms were sier of clean, no soap available.

Gorgeous views, helpful campground host, peaceful, and lots of wildlife. Flush toilets were an unexpected bonus! We will be back, especially this time of year.
