Very rustic location. Heavily wooded. They were out of ice. Lots of poison ivy by the river bank. Bathroom were very gross, lots of flied and not cleaned well.

Checking in was easy and quick, the camp hosts were super nice. They have a little shop at the entrance with a few odds and ends. Driving through the campground was easy enough but the road is pretty narrow. There was poison ivy everywhere, even in the campsites. The quiet hours didn’t feel like they were reinforced because people were loud still around 11pm. All of the garbage bins were overflowing and smelled like hot trash all evening. Campsites are pretty close, so all the low burning fires were blowing smoke into our tent.

Beautiful campsite, we were so sad to leave our campsite! Hands down one of the cleanest, nicest campsites we’ve been too! They rake and clean up campsites after each checkout to ensure an easy set up!

The campground hosts here were AMAZING! I was traveling and camping along the way as a single handicapped lady, and every staff member I met was kind and helpful. Despite being very busy and completely full, the campsites and bathrooms were clean. The location of this campground right in the middle of Oak Creek Canyon and situated against the canyon cliffs and boulders is spectacular. The temperature is definitely cooler than down in the valley of Phoenix - which I thoroughly enjoyed. The showers and small campground store (which offers wood, ice, souvenirs, and campground groceries/needs) is a BIG plus! I was located in tent site A-1 - which was a large campsite with lots of shade. Truly a wonderful experience.

Love this campground! Bathrooms were tidy, access to running water, cute swimming hole nearby. Perfect for kids! Road noise is inevitable, but personally, I like to be reminded I’m not in the middle of nowhere. Nice shady trees too!
