We only camped for 1 night here but we really enjoyed it. Lots of trees, great weather and clean bathrooms.

What a wonderful getaway from the heat of the Valley! Reservations were easy and we really enjoyed our spacious site A-16. We spent time on the Harding Springs Trail and cooled off in the creek. Will definitely be back again! Campground is clean and quiet. We also loved the little camp store for afternoon treats!

The staff and site are wonderful! No dish washing or hand washing stations, so prepare accordingly! Lots of sites that are perfect for tents or RVs. Right off the creek and 89A, so don’t worry about getting lost! I will definitely be back for another stay sometime soon!

After our reservation at Manzinita was canceled, this was recommended and sure glad we chose to come here. Very nice, clean, and all the staff was very friendly and always waved when passing by. Will definitely be back.

Getting There
From Phoenix, take I-17 to Highway 179 north toward Sedona. Turn north on Highway 89A and continue for 11 mi into Oak Creek Canyon.
From Flagstaff, take I-17 to Highway 89A south. Follow 89A for 18 mi to Oak Creek Canyon.
Policies & Rules
General
- Oak Creek is very crowded, especially on weekends; it is best to come on a weekday and arrive early
- No radios or amplified devices allowed
- No hookups
- No horses allowed in the campground
- Motorbikes may only be used for entering or leaving campsite
- Check out the forest's campground description for specific information to Fish Your National Forest
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- No portable showers or toilets allowed in campground
- Showers are token operated only, they do not accept quarters.
- Campsites must be occupied first night of reservation
- Campsite cannot be unattended more than 24 hours
- Swimming and fishing access
- The camping stay limit in Red Rock District is limited to 7 days
