Campsite was everything we expected. It was clean and ready for us to move in. Restrooms were well maintained and clean. Always a plus.
Staff did a great job. Really enjoyed the time we spent with them.

It’s a wonderful campground for travelers and locals alike. In early May it was brisk and cool at night but made better by a campfire in the ring. Picnic table was clean and there was ample space for multiple tents at our site. The showers are a benefit (they close at 7pm and you have to buy a token - $3=4 minutes of hot water).

Everyone working there was super friendly. The location relative to the hiking in Sedona was unbeatable given the amenities. Cannot recommend this site enough.

Pretty setting, campsite was immaculate and freshly raked - never seen this before. Showers are a great perk, and we knew to purchase tokens in advance, but didn’t realize the shower building had limited hours. Bummer to get caught in the rain on a mountain bike ride, and not be able to wash off the grit before climbing into our tent. We handed off our shower tokens to nearby campers before we left. Yes, a bit of road noise, but won’t be able to escape that in the narrow confines of Oak Creek Canyon. Nice and shady with a good breeze.

Clean campground. In the A loop, there was more space and trees between sites. Very quiet and very nice

The right turn to D loop, sites 8, 9, and 10 is very tight for trailers 25 foot and up. You might want to avoid. You can hike from this campground to Westfork, 1 mile, on the path that runs along the road, just note a short section requires you to walk in the road or rather run. Other than that it's very doable. There is also a trail near the campground entrance that's rather challenging, 900 feet in 1/2 mile, that tops out in a beautiful forest and continues to Pine Flat. The trail down to pine flat is very broken up so take it slow.

The proximity to Sedona red rock hiking makes this a valued campground. The park itself is in need of a great deal of TLC. The staff on site are doing a great job with what they have to work with.

The people running the campgrounds were pretty grumpy. Especially the older man and woman. Campsites are ridiculously close together with little to no privacy. Feels like you're camping with everyone around you. It was loud, lots of RVs, and poor driving direction signage. I recommend this campground to RVers or those who just need a place to stay overnight. Not to mention it was rated as one of the best campsites in AZ (not sure how), which made it nearly impossible to book a stay according to your own schedule. If you do stay, I recommend at least two nights as checkin is after 2pm and checkout is 11am SHARP!!! The only redeeming factors is the beautiful forest in the canyon and that it is so close to many of the beautiful trails around there. To summarize, this is not a place to get a real camping experience but more of a mediocre hotel experience with grumpy staff.
