We arrived to our camp site in August during the week. It was a very nice trip. The campsite had a fire pit and parking spot. The area is really beautiful as the entire campsite is full of tall trees and and you are right up against the creek. For August, it was really nice and cool and it drizzled rain a little bit which made it smell amazing outside while not hindering our campfire experience. We walked around up and down the creek area. We didn't find anywhere to swim into the creek, the closest areas are pretty shallow or hard to climb down into, but we were able to explore and hike around. Each campsite is very close to each other. We were around our fire pit and can see everyone at the next camp over. The bathrooms and trash were very close, which I like so we could easily access, but maybe some people don't. At night, I don't mind hearing other campers. It was just me and my partner and our dogs so it felt comforting hearing some campers playing games or laughing nearby. Nothing too crazy. We only saw the staff when we checked in and grabbed things at the little store (they have eggs! and firewood and all kinds of things). But I really don't like when the park staff come bother you at your site, so I was happy no one was coming around. We were hanging out by the fire and some skunks came by but we shooed them away with noises. Its actually a funny story we tell now. We loved our one night stay and so did our doggies.

The camp ground is not run by the state of Arizona. It is contracted out to unbelievably rude and disrespectful company. Charged for an extra night because we stopped to take a shower and weren't gone by check out. Had left the site. Had a small tent for changing, lots of girls. Threatened to kick us out because you can only use there showers. When we told them it was for changing...they said they had looked inside! Have you ever heard of breaking in and entering. The day we were leaving the park personnel sat in their golf cart at the edge of the site and asked how much longer! Seriously unbelievably rude and stressful. You have a 5 mile an hour speed limit but that rule doesn't apply to them and their golf carts. Beware of the skunks, yes skunks!!! They come out at night and ripped through a styrofoam cooler. Didn't eat the food just the cooler. Afraid to get out of tent at night for fear of being sprayed. Showers and wood for the fire are expensive! The shower tokens are purchased at the store which closes early, so plan ahead. The site was nice, but trip was spoiled by rude personnel.

Beautiful campground, friendly staff and well maintained. The creek really is just a creek, but perfect to get your feet wet with a few deeper little pockets. Trees provide plenty of shade and keep it a nice temperature even in the summer. I highly recommend this spot!!

Cave Spring Campground is in a beautiful location in Oak Creek. The campsites are great for tent camping but need serious refurbishment and upgrading for trailer and RV camping. Even a small size camper will have trouble fitting in to these small spaces. Campsites are VERY close together. Not much privacy. The best thing about this place is the location.

4

Beautiful campground! Especially considering how popular it is. Kept up nicely, noise ordinance so, so enforced. I recommend the campsites in the back away from the creek for the most privacy. Overall, gorgeous views all around and so many fantastic places to visit nearby. Slide Rock state park, fish hatchery, swimming holes (one walking distance from campground), downtown Sedona, hiking, shopping, photography options galore! Must reserve 6 months in advance to get a popular weekend booked.
