My children and I had a blast on our camping trip. However, there are a number of things that keep me from giving 5 stars. Quiet hours are from 10p-6a and I intended on letting my children play until 10p as they were joyfully playing tag and tossing a football in our site with our neighboring campers. We were approached by the camp host at 8:45p to be quiet because people were “settling down for the night.” The very next day first thing in the morning the camp host starts mowing the lawn of her camp spot and a common area which was across from our spot. Many campers were still sleeping or just getting out of bed at this time so I found it very hypocritical. Vault toilet restrooms were kept stocked with TP but holy cow so there were so many bugs, spiders, caterpillars, and webs. Some of the restrooms doors also wouldn’t close easily or the doors were so tight it was hard to get out of them. My oldest son had a panic attack because his 8yo muscles could barely open the door of a restroom after the door slammed shut and he thought he was going to be trapped in there. I’d probably go back for its proximity to Sedona and recreation areas, but I wouldn’t want to be near the host again.

Excellent campground for families. Lots of great amenities like toilets, showers, firewood, and a little store on site. The camp hosts are phenomenal and so sweet. Only 1 mile from west fork trail. We will be camping here again!

The staff were wonderful and helpful. But the campground had a few issues. The water spicket by us wasn't working. The trash was quite a ways from our campsite and the bins were overflowing the first day. The showers are pretty pricey at $8 each. There are no sinks to wash dishes or just to wash your hands or face. The toilets are vault toilets. Of course, you're in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. It's about 10 miles down canyon to uptown Sedona. It was about 20 miles to the Doe Mountain trailhead where we hiked. There are dozens of wonderful hikes in Sedona, but everything is more crowded these days. We used to be able to drive a 2WD vehicle on the Vultee Arch Road, but now I won't even take my 4WD high clearance SUV on it because it's so rough. The same is true of Schnebly Hill Road. So that eliminates a lot of hikes that we used to enjoy with easy access.

Everything was amazing about this campsite! It had a store with the necessities that you may have forgot to pack, firewood for sale, clean bathrooms, and showers which were $8 for 8 minutes if I remember correctly. There was also multiple easy access points to Oak creek throughout the campground and there's also a trailhead walking distance from the campground that follows the creek upstream.

This is a beautiful campground - there is definitely road noise if you are sensitive to that. In addition, we were in site 16 right next to the restrooms - the smell from the bathrooms was pretty strong, especially when the septic truck pulled up during breakfast. That said, get a site away from a bathroom and you'll love the trees, creek access and red rocks.

The campground is very well kept, staff was always present and very helpful during my 5 day stay. I especially enjoyed the shower (8 minutes-8$) and the chance to buy fire wood. Lots of things to do in the area.
