Cave Spring

We stayed at this campground while exploring Sedona and the surrounding area, and it turned out to be a great choice. The location right next to Oak Creek was a major advantage, allowing us to escape the intense heat that Sedona experiences even in mid-May.
The only drawback was the lack of flush toilets. The hot showers were excellent, but they were surprisingly expensive—$8 for just 8 minutes. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cooler creekside setting.

Location is nicley shaded with spacious campsites. Only a few sites with hooks ups (water & electric) so plan for rustic camping. Als, roads are in rough shape and narrow. So be careful with large vehicles/RVs or low clearance for navigating big potholes.

Beautiful campground with a cooler microclimate than Sedona proper. Campsites were kept very clean. Strangely the trash cans were all overflowing despite the signs that this is bear country. We will absolutely be back.

This campground is so beautiful. It sits right on the oak creek, only 10 minutes from Slide rock! The bathrooms were clean! I highly recommend this special gem to everyone!

I like the campground. However, I do have an issue of using private concessionaire who provides shower at $8 for 3 minutes. This is not consistent with National Parks in other locations. National Forests operates with tax dollar support, and we expect similar services as we have in other national parks.

I was unable to stay due to poor air quality. So many people burning campfires. Nice for them, but toxic for me. So I lost all my money. I was not able to stay at the camp either night. 1st night someone was in my space - .. I left a note at the station.

My family loves this campground! We have been coming for the last 6 years! We used to camp all over northern az until we found this campground! It’s beautiful, quiet, right near the water, and near several swimming holes. This campground does have nice hot showers, always a plus after a long day camping. I will continue to come to this campground for years to come!

I camp at Cave Springs Campground every year for the past five years. I love the creek that runs through the campsite. The scenery is beautiful. The cold water refreshes you if you want to cool off. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The small camp store is well stocked and provides daily ice for your cooler if needed.

The showers were awful. No place to sit to undress. Only a rack but does not hold items, only draped clothes. No room to maneuver. Only one water temp which was too hot. No way to cool it down.

I absolutely LOVE Cave Spring campground! I camped here as a child with my family over 50 years ago - oh my! And I will continue to return on a regular basis so long as I am lucky enough to reserve a site. It's clean, so beautiful, and most of the campsites have enough space between them so you don't feel like you're encroaching on your neighbor. The mature trees provide ample shade which in turn drops the temperature by several degrees. However, when camping in the summer and if the permanent concrete table is not under a tree(s), I do recommend a pop-up style shade cover because it can get a bit warm under the direct sun. Or just a wear a large brimmed hat! :-)
