The campsites were very well managed, and we really enjoyed the easy walking access to the creek. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the bathrooms. We expected basic vault toilets, which is completely normal for a campground, but the condition of these were concerning. The floors felt as though they could cave in at any moment-you could actually feel them shifting beneath your feet, almost like standing on a boat. It made using the facilities feel very unsafe.

If your expecting showers don't. Unless you take them with the coldest water you have ever felt. If a campsite says it has showers for you to use you at least expect warm water .. not an excuse about the water heater catching on fire.. So what get it replaced pronto, I went camping there because of the access to a shower and I have to take one with ice water. That's about the only complaint I have. The campsite is clean and maintained just fix the showers.

Campsite (F14) was spacious. Campgrounds were clean and well-maintained. Would definitely return.

Please consider investing in rehabing the toilet or moving completely away from vault toilets. I book the reservation because of the shower option and the showers never worked or when working the water was cold. It is not likely I will return or recommend this site to others.

We always enjoy camping at cave springs. And we're aware of the no music. But we were on our phones and a female ranger came up and said no music. My husband told her he's just watching a video. She said she can hear it when she was passing by and he needs to turn it off. .Really!

After our reservation at Manzinita was canceled, this was recommended and sure glad we chose to come here. Very nice, clean, and all the staff was very friendly and always waved when passing by. Will definitely be back.

The staff and site are wonderful! No dish washing or hand washing stations, so prepare accordingly! Lots of sites that are perfect for tents or RVs. Right off the creek and 89A, so don’t worry about getting lost! I will definitely be back for another stay sometime soon!

From Phoenix, take I-17 to Highway 179 north toward Sedona. Turn north on Highway 89A and continue for 11 miles into Oak Creek Canyon.
From Flagstaff, take I-17 to Highway 89A south. Follow 89A for 18 miles to Oak Creek Canyon.
Elevation: 1649 feet
12 mi drive to downtown Sedona (about 25 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Oak Creek is very crowded, especially on weekends; it is best to come on a weekday and arrive early
- No radios or amplified devices allowed
- No hookups
- No horses allowed in the campground
- Motorbikes may only be used for entering or leaving campsite
- Check out the forest's campground description for specific information to Fish Your National Forest
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- No portable showers or toilets allowed in campground
- Showers are token operated only, they do not accept quarters.
- Campsites must be occupied first night of reservation
- Campsite cannot be unattended more than 24 hours
- Swimming and fishing access
- The camping stay limit in Red Rock District is limited to 7 days
