This was an amazing place, not far from Sedona and Flagstaff. The campground and its facilities were well kept up.

Good for one night, but we would not choose to stay at Cave Springs Campground for multiple nights again. There are no sinks, wash basins, mirrors, or electrical outlets in the bathrooms or shower building. Showers cost an additional $8 on top of the camping fee just to stand under a showerhead.
The campground roads are tight, and our site was close to the road, so we could hear traffic passing by. The positive is the convenient location near Sedona. Overall, this was our least favorite campground on our road trip through Arizona.

A clean, friendly and safe campsite. Hosts are around the property and keep track of vehicles and visitors. Vault toilets are never ideal but they smelled decent and you can tell they are maintained.

All the camp personal were pleasant when talking with them. The bathrooms were ok, and plenty of places to get water. Individual campsite was clean and maintained.

The campground hosts, "The Sisters," are the best! They make sure the campground is clean and orderly and they do it in a kind and courteous way. Super friendly. Looking forward to going there again.

Great campground. Sites are spaced out and it was very clean. Beautiful short trails through the meadow and to the creek. Another great hike across the street to a beautiful view ( I recommend going in the morning ) I would recommend this campground.

From Phoenix, take I-17 to Highway 179 north toward Sedona. Turn north on Highway 89A and continue for 11 miles into Oak Creek Canyon.
From Flagstaff, take I-17 to Highway 89A south. Follow 89A for 18 miles to Oak Creek Canyon.
Elevation: 1649 feet
12 mi drive to downtown Sedona (about 25 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Oak Creek is very crowded, especially on weekends; it is best to come on a weekday and arrive early
- No radios or amplified devices allowed
- No hookups
- No horses allowed in the campground
- Motorbikes may only be used for entering or leaving campsite
- Check out the forest's campground description for specific information to Fish Your National Forest
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- No portable showers or toilets allowed in campground
- Showers are token operated only, they do not accept quarters.
- Campsites must be occupied first night of reservation
- Campsite cannot be unattended more than 24 hours
- Swimming and fishing access
- The camping stay limit in Red Rock District is limited to 7 days
