This place has always given us wonderful memories!
We really enjoy the fishing for the trout.
There are plenty of lakes to choose from.

We Try to camp here every other summer. We love it! Everyone is friendly and informative. The camp sites are wonderful, offering clean and nicely sized sites. Peaceful!! There is alot of wildlife to be seen and many great hikes to take. There are many places to fish, either in the lakes or the rivers. Bring clothes for cool and warm weather as the climate can change daily. There are many things to do nearby or for a day trip. One of our favorites is the Petrified Forest. Greer is a twenty minute drive away! Go out for a drive or a walk/hike each day or sit in your camp chair and take in the scenery! Whatever you chose to do it will be worth it!

Location was wondeful but the lake was TERRIBLE this time of year. the lake wasturing over and it was green and full of moss. No fish were biting and the water was slimy and not clear at all.

Clean campground accommodating any size RV. Bathrooms and showers were clean but spartan. Perfectly acceptable. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Fishing too. Beautiful scenery! Town of Alpine is nearby if you want to dine out.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Apache Trout campground. The campground was clean and there were some nice hiking trails leaving from the campground that we enjoyed.

Everything was great. The campground is well maintained. The staff and volunteer workers were friendly and helpful. It’s beautiful and Big Lake is right next door.

Great place for a summer family camping experience. Four couples enjoyed two double camp spots, with hiking, kyacking in Big Lake and lots of food and games. Weather was great in August, but we missed the expected summer thunderstorms.

Rented a double space and there was no way we could park 2 trailers on it, hook ups are in unreachable places and prices were ridiculously high. Camp hosts were rude and obtrusive and didn’t know the rules to pricing. Asked one, got one answer, asked another, got a different answer. Bad experience, will never go again!
