We try to book reservations at this campsite as often as possible, and we visited 4 times last year. The campgrounds are always clean and everything functions as intended. The staff is courteous, professional, and friendly. We see some of the same staff members every year and look forward to meeting the new ones. This campgrounds should be a model for others.

Sites are to expensive, No privacy, To many people withs dogs that don't use leashes. I will never return

This was our 10th visit to this location (Apache Trout) and one of the best. Besides good weather, the Camp Hosts, Pat & Darci Hofman and Cory Hanes) were the very BEST Camp Hosts we've encountered in 21 years of staying at State and Federal RV parks. These folks were genuinely friendly and helpful in so many ways. To have Camp Hosts like these folks can elevate a good trip to a wonderful experience. Apache Trout is a wonderful campsite, and these Camp Hosts made it much more pleasant and enjoyable.

Very nice campground. I have stayed here multiple times and always have the same experience. The camp host are always very nice and available. The area has plenty of things to do and see within an hours drive. Campgrounds are well maintained and clean. I will be back!

While I loved the area surrounding the campground the actual campground itself was not as enjoyable. The campsites were fairly close to one another with little privacy, the bathrooms/showers were not as clean as I would have liked, and we had a number of noisy neighbors next door while we were there. I will definitely be back to this area but I don't know that I would come back to this specific campground.

Campgrounds are very clean, and restroom and showers are kept up at all times. staff are very friendly and can answer questions about questions you might have.

From Pinetop, Arizona, take Highway 260 east 25 miles to Highway 273 south. Follow Highway 273 south 19 miles to Forest Road 8115 (Big Lake Entrance). Turn right and travel 3 miles.
