What Guests Are Saying
Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Hikers enjoy the breathtaking views and trails nearby, and the campground's quiet atmosphere enhances the overall experience. However, it has limited space for large RVs, no cell service, and some sites can be quite close together, which may be a downside for some campers.

This is a beautiful campground with great amenities and most of the sites are nicely shaded. The tree canopy proved a bit of an issue in the winter camping we did because it made it a challenge to charge with our solar panels. But, I imagine that the shade in the summer is needed to combat the heat. The campground offers easy access to trails and the scenic drive to the Masai Point lookout. The rock formations are other-worldly and a must-see for anyone passing through.

What a beautiful park, and very interesting . The campground was very nice, although, I was really only there to sleep, out hiking, and exploring all day. The Rest rooms were very clean, with flush toilets, no showers. All the campsites had a picnic table, and fire pit, water spigots were near by. I thoughroly enjoyed the visitor center, the employees were very friendly, and knowledgeable, you could tell that they loved the park, and their job.

Camped in site 18 and was initially concerned that the water spigot next to my site was leaking. Turns out, it's a great draw for wildlife! Got to see Mexican jays, white-breasted nuthatches, acorn woodpeckers, bridled titmice, spotted towhees, and western bluebirds, as well as deer and those skampish coatis!
