What Guests Are Saying
Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Hikers enjoy the breathtaking views and trails nearby, and the campground's quiet atmosphere enhances the overall experience. However, it has limited space for large RVs, no cell service, and some sites can be quite close together, which may be a downside for some campers.

Overall campground was great. Plenty of wildlife walking around (deer, turkey, jays) to keep it entertaining. CG is very shaded but enough sun to use your solar panels at different times of the day. Rustic in that the sites don't appear to be groomed (leaves and natural debris removed). No problem. just clear the leaves before setting anything up. They are full of moths and spiders that will visit you in the evening if you don't. Bathrooms are clean enough to use, but you are bombarded by moths and spiders in the evening. Annoying, but not a big problem. The sink drain was clogged with moth carcasses the five days we were there. Two water wells/pumps were out of order. Would stay again. Recommend to the service that the CG could use some attention.

Love the area and love this campground! We were there during the week in the earlier part of May and it was quiet. I really like the size of the campground with only 25 sites. Camp host was very friendly, and campsites were well maintained, bathrooms were much cleaner this year than last! Plan on coming back next year!

We loved our site, it was large, had shade and we had a faucet nearby. The restrooms were disappointing though; too few considering the amount of tent campers. There was only one sink with no place to put away toiletry bags or towels. As there are no showers I would expect there to be more sinks.

A beautiful and quiet campground with plenty of shade, water available and gray water disposal. Since there are several sites and cottages with electricity, I think they should provide it throughout the campground. It’s too shady for effective solar. A trip to the top of the mountain is well worth it, with a choice of hiking routes back down. Nice hikes in the canyon as well. Be sure to check the map that shows actual site lengths before booking! Pay attention to the angle of the sites as some require wrong way entry.

Camp site #5 was level, shady, close to water, and an easy walk to the bathroom. Echo Canyon trail was amazingly beautiful.
