Clear Sky Resorts - Grand Canyon

Everything was a lot of fun. The rooms were nice to include the showers and being able to look outside from the domestic after sunset was a unique experience. The food and drinks were surprisingly really good! My favorite and least favorite part. Yes the food was amazing, but the wait time was unacceptable. Way over an hour for our dishes and had to get the waiters attention multiple times for a drink that had been ordered from the very beginning.

Very cool experience. Domes are clean and bathrooms are a good size. A maintenance check after each check might be helpful as we had trouble with our fridge that needed attention as well as a broken drawer in the dresser. They also need to really boost their WiFi capabilities. Lastly, they were out of several food items which I’m assuming was because we were there end of season. Filled cheese on a hamburger bun for example. But that said, the food we did order was very good - like the bbq chicken flatbread. Overall a great experience - they do a great job with activities for guests like live music, movie nights & s’mores by the bonfire. Bonus: easy drive to the Grand Canyon!!

The location is amazing. Stargazing was incredible. I saw sights with my naked eye that I have always wanted to see. Planets, star systems and even the Andromeda Galaxy. The staff with refreshingly positive and energetic. Everyone was friendly and fun to speak with. And the trip into the Grand Canyon was fast and easy every day. We hope to come back very soon.

We had the best time at Clear Skies! What a wonderful experience proximate to the Grand Canyon. We had such a great time with, and learned so much from the resort astronomer, Craig, that we’d come back just to attend more of his stargazing experiences. He was so knowledgeable, kind, and inviting and so wonderful with incorporating kids into the experience. Craig was such a pleasant, unexpected surprise that we know made the trip extra memorable for our family. Sign us up for anything and everything put on by Craig! And we heard other guests saying the same thing. Clear Skies really did a great job of having a variety of family friendly activities to participate in (free evening s’mores, movies, bounce playground, etc.) and their small, but mighty food truck really provided some delicious meals! Hats off to the super friendly wait staff in the dining dome as well. They were so friendly and accommodating. Always smiling and always helping out. The resort did an amazing job of filling the time between our Grand Canyon adventures and we got up in the middle of the night every night to make sure to take in the amazing view of the stars right from our bed! Highly recommend this simple, but beautiful and well planned “dome away from home!”

We had a wonderful stay at Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon! The rooms were neat and just like the pictures online but the walls are plastic sheets and not glasses. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we loved the little touches—live music in the evening, s’mores kits, and a cozy bonfire after dark.

The food had a lots of vegetarian-friendly options, which was a big plus for us. But portion sizes were small.

The absolute highlight of our trip was the stargazing tour with Craig. Don’t miss it! He showed us Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, the Sun, and several important stars. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he even engaged our child in such a fun and memorable way. It was an amazing experience that made our stay truly special.
