The older couple who were hosts when we arrived were fantastic. They let us know where things were a d whether we could do certain things very cordially! They were constantly riding around doing stuff and asking us if all was ok! Very pleasant! Campgrounds were clean as were the bathrooms! We had a pleasant experience and will likely be back again.

Another great time at Dogtown Lake. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always great. Clean restrooms, access to drinking water and large campsites to house our large family together! Can’t wait to come back.

We were not able to go. I40 was closed in both directions due to a fire so we had to turn around and go home. Still waiting for a refund

In Williams, Arizona, turn south onto 4th Street (County Road 73) and drive about 5 miles to Forest Road 140. Turn left and proceed about 4 miles to Forest Road 132. Turn left and proceed 1 mile to Dogtown Campground. Forest Roads 140 and 132 are gravel roads.
The nearest major road is Interstate 40, located approximately 20 miles south of Dogtown Lake Campground.
Elevation: 2158 feet
7.9 mi drive to downtown Williams (about 23 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- This is a high elevation facility; use caution when traveling from lower elevations
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY. Double & Group sites: refer to Specific Site # for capacity limits.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with the host for payment and where to park.
- Late Arrivals: campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- No utility hookups.
