The campground is one of the prettiest that we've stayed in. However...the 15 miles of horrible road to get there is destructive to any vehicle. Also, this year there was a problem certifying the public water supply. The nearest water was back in William's. Too bad for such a nice camping experience.

We visit this campground 3-4 times a year. In the past the camping sites were cleaned of debris and there was fresh water available. In June when we arrived the campsite had not been cleared and there was still no fresh water available. We bring a good amount of water with us and that usually gets us through but it sure was nice in the past that if we needed a little extra it was available. The campsite had debris scattered all over it and we had to clean up before setting up our trailer. The cost is now higher and if we can’t get a clean site and water what is the point of paying to camp when there is an entire forest where the camping is free. I understand there is a new company running the campground and they were the lowest bidder but the previous company had their act together and made sure things were done right. The entire feel of the campground has changed and we are disappointed that our favorite place to camp is going downhill. We have been coming here for several years and hope that it gets back to being “normal” at some point in the future. If you are heading here make sure to bring plenty of fresh water as we were told it won’t be available for some time. We will be going back as we pay for all of our camping trips at the start of the year and we have a reservation in September that’s already paid for but our future at white horse lake is questionable.

Spacious camp sites with pad for our 21ft toyhauler, tow vehicle, tent pad, picnic table, grill and fire ring. Clean restrooms, thanks to the hosts. Lake was low so the entry was very muddy and a mess. Lost my fin for my paddleboard since it got stuck in the mud. Nice little hiking path around the lake.

Great campground, big campsites, probably the best tent pads I've ever slept on. They were raked well, no large rocks, very level and smooth. The entire campsite was well maintained and pretty clean. Looking forward to coming back here in the near future.

This campsite was great, one of the top sites here. Right on the water, great sun and perfect shade. Tent sites are walk in not drive in just as note. This campground area was everything I had hoped it to be. Great little hike, super clean campgrounds and greats hosts. Tent sites maybe a little closer than I like but our neighbors were great. Great week here. Would suggest this campground to anyone.

Campground was clean, hosts were pleasant. NO snack shack this year (boo) and the bathrooms run out of tp frequently.

White Horse Lake is our favorite place to camp. We love the remote location but still close enough to make a trip into town when the need arises. Danny and Lise are great hosts. They take care of the campgrounds, keeping them clean and looking nice. There is a new company running the place and the changes, to me, aren’t going to be popular. The fee for the night has gone up by two dollars so that’s not a big deal but the day use now costs $10 where it use to be free and there are no canoes or kayaks for rent now. Plus the snack bar that has been there is gone. I don’t know if these things will be brought back in the future but I hope that is the case. We are going back again in a couple of weeks and hope to enjoy our time in the forest.
