What Guests Are Saying
Dogtown Lake Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with clean restrooms and spacious campsites that provide a sense of privacy. The hosts are friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive camping experience. However, some visitors noted the lack of water access and additional fees for extra vehicles, which they felt were not justified given the limited amenities. Overall, it remains a popular spot for fishing and enjoying nature.

The campground was clean and kept up however I think it’s unfair to charge full price including a $15 Per Day fee for an extra car when we don’t have all the amenities like water and trash. We have to walk out trash to the one dumpster in the front and there is no drinking water running. Why are the trashcans still all locked? It doesn’t seem fair to have to pay an extra fee when we don’t even have all of the amenities that the campground lists we should have.

Such a beautiful scenic spot! The area was well kept and bathrooms were cleaned/checked on numerous times a day. The only warning I want to share is there’s nearby train tracks and one of my two nights it kept me up almost all night from the horn so just be prepared with ear plugs!

Beautiful campground with space in between campers. You don’t feel like you are on top of each other. The campsites are a little pricy since there are no amenities at the sites and when I was there wasn’t drinking water available anywhere. The only amenity available was a vault toilet. I had a trailer so none of that mattered to me and I enjoyed the campground.

Excellent spot, great location. Could do with less train horns in the night but oh well. Very peaceful otherwise and it sit backed up to the woods. Got to see wildlife at night

The water not working made things a little difficult, but the restrooms were clean and well maintained.
