We could only stay one night at this campground on our way to Texas. Look forward to stopping again. Some of the sites are for smaller trailers but #70 fit our 26 ft trailer just fine.

Mr. Jay, the campground host, was nice and checked me in. I enjoyed the campground. Not many people here at the time of my visit. It was cold and there were snow flurries and sleet the second day I was there. A ranger patrolled frequently and one stopped by one day while I was out walking the dog and we visited. He told me the lake was down approximately 10-15 feet due to lack of rain. I had a beautiful site overlooking the lake. I got to see great sunsets every evening. There’s also some nice benches and a swing at the end of the point where you can sit and enjoy looking at the lake. I can’t really comment much on the bathhouse or showers because I used my own shower but I stopped by to wash my hands and I thought they looked very clean. One final thing is they have electric hookups only so fill your fresh water tank before arrival because the available ones there were turned off probably because of the overnight freezing temperatures. I appreciate the simplicity of the COE campgrounds. I don’t want sewer hookups at my site. I am perfectly fine using the dump station. I am not here for a resort experience. I am here to enjoy nature and this location has it in abundance.

Love that this campground has such beautiful sites. Each one has a lake view. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of this place. It was very restorative.
