We enjoyed our trip. We are new to camping and hubby didn’t know to stop and fill the fresh water so we made do. Actually used less water! Wish the underbrush had been cut down to the water so we could see better.

There was no one at the station to check in with. We arrived at 4:00 p.m. We found the site we had selected on line; however, it was not safe for us. It had drop-offs from the side of the trailer and was not level enough. We are senior citizens and have to be careful. With no one available to talk to about moving to another site, I went back on line and found what I hoped would be a vacant site for a couple of days. It was much better suited for our needs. On the day we were leaving, a ranger came by to talk to us about where we were camping. I explained the situation to him and he was very understanding and just made the changes in their computer system. He said the staff was quite reduced due to the recent flooding in Louisiana. The park itself is quiet. Few guests were there for that weekend. A slight few of the lake from our place. Okay for a couple of days, not sure if I would want to spend a longer time there.

The campsite is awesome. We have everything we needed there. Beside the reception which is normal for every campsites the place has beautiful view of the lake. Make sure to bring everything you need such as toiletries because the store nearby is about 5 miles and charges 3 times the normal price. I will come back again
