What Guests Are Saying
Iron Mountain campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly hosts, and peaceful surroundings, making it a great place for camping. Many visitors appreciated the helpfulness of the park host, John, and enjoyed the scenic views and hiking opportunities. Some sites were noted to be uneven and in need of maintenance, but overall, guests expressed a desire to return for future stays.

Tress made it challenging to park in the camp spots. Ants were everywhere. They got into our camper and had to have it professionally sprayed after returning home. Also, our electrical outlet did not work. (it was not our camper.)

INFESTED WITH ANTS!!! Really wish I would have read the reviews before I booked this spot. We had to go and spend $40 on ant spray. When we woke up Saturday morning we had millions of ants in and around our camper. This is not just our spot. Campers on both sides of us left after one night due to the ants. We couldn’t leave dog food outside for more than 2 mins before being covered in ants. The bathroomss were old and gross. If you are not able bodied, do not stay here. The sites are very unlevel and very very small. This will be the first and last time we will ever stay here. Hope this post saves someone from a very miserable weekend.

We had a terrible experience at this campground! Oue original site was 47 and the pavement was so bubbled up, we would have never gotten level. Our friends were on 48 with a Class A, they moved to 55 so we took 48. The whole campground was infested with ants!! We sprayed a circle around our trailers, jacks and cord, but still ended up with ants inside. There were trails of them marching up the sides of the trailer😳. Lots of ants! Just standing still, ants started crawling on our dogs legs! The COE needs to invest some time and money into this campground. It could be nice, but it seriously needs help. It also wasn't very clean, litter was everywhere! We won't camp there again!

We were in site 19, which was quite level and shady with a view of the water through the trees. Sites are large enough that you don’t feel like you’re on top of your neighbors. There was a nice fire pit, grill, and picnic table at the site. We would stay there again.
