Quiet campground with lots of shade and partial views of the lake. This is an old campground so the pads and drives are in bad shape. Many sites require going down steps or bank to picnic table. If that's all ok with you as it was for us, it's a very pleasant area. We really enjoyed the tranquility.

They had nice showers that were located close to the camp site. They also had nicely paved roads. Which as excellent for my mountain bike. The view of the lake was amazing. I would for sure camp there again

This is a great park, with awesome mountain biking trails and camping. Bathrooms are clean, and the lake is good for swimming, though without a beach. Very relaxed place to be

The campsites were very nice. We looked but were unable to locate any Tolkien dwarves. The sites were well shaded.

Beautiful lake and forests. The camping sites were spacious and well equipped. Hot showers and clean restrooms. One of the best places I’ve stayed. Would gladly stay again.

General
- During the Non-Peak season certain campsites and loops will be closed. Reservations longer than 14 days will require an approved extension. Extensions can be obtained from a ranger, or the information board located at the entrance of campground.
- Camping at one or more campsites at any one water resource project for a period longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period is prohibited without the written permission of the District Commander.
- If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 246-5501 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 no-show fee plus the cost of the first night's stay will be charged.
- Sanitation, No dumping of household trash, gray water, rubbish, black water or any other waste material or waste liquid. All waste generated must be disposed of at the dump station or removed from the project lands.
- Quiet hours are between;
- Daily occupancy is required.
- No off-road vehicles permitted.
- One tent and one RV or two tents are allowed per campsite.
- All pets must be penned, caged or on a 6 foot leash at all times, No Exceptions!!!
- Persons bringing animals onto project lands are responsible for the proper removal and disposal of any waste produced by these animals.
- Fireworks prohibited in campground
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
